The Boyd's Car Show Race
This was KRC's first time doing a race at an event at the car show. We sure had a ton of people come over and check out the racing action!! For most of us, we have never experienced that many spectators cheering on the racing. Thank you to the sponsors; Make My Fun Hobbies, ABC hobby, Gripworks RC, Trademark industries/ superior Septic, Synlawn and Creative Trophies & Gifts, and Traxxas for helping make this event possible.
We would also like to thank every one that helped out to make this event go from an idea we have had in the past to reality;
Luke Pittman for RDing, communicating and Planning of the event. Aaron Gleboff and Peter Gnos for building the wooden structures. Saturday setup Lorne Martin, Yana and Colin Russle. Peter Gnos bringing out and taking back all the clubs stuff from storage at Greenbay. All the helpers on Sunday morning. Everyone that help take the track apart at the end of the day. all the helpers throughout the day. JOB WELL DONE!!
Despite being Father's day we still had enough racers out. Even though it was the first time for most of the racers to be racing on concrete, there was a ton of tight racing and sweet passes to keep the spectators engaged in the on track action. With help from MAKE MY FUN HOBBIES they were able to get a fleet of 8 Traxxas Slash available to the public to try out on the same track that they were watching. Colin also had his 5th scale truck gas powered truck out on track putting on a good show. Trophies were awarded to some great racers and done a little differently and going to the best overall racer. For onroad 1st Kali Radom, 2nd Lorne Martin and 3rd Peter Gnos. for the offroad it was and Mason I can't wait to do it again in the future!

Race Day!!
What the heck was that today!!
It was an awesome race day, that's what that was. Great battles, people helping each other, tight qualifying, break downs, today had it all.
Thank you everyone that came today, you really made the racing great and kept the day going.
Practice night was pretty sweet too with the feature races. We had pit stops, pace cars, and some skill testing for qualifying. it was fun in the end. It needs some ironing out, but the next one will run smoother.
