Awesome, if you're going to the onroad track tomm I'll be there. Pm me the total so I can bring the cash. Just finished charging those batteries, one is definately a dud, the others took a charge and ran my car.

Hey guys,
Does anyone here use the xray active front diff, and if so is it worth it.

Also I was wondering do I need a mount for the transponder(when I come race in GP) or can it be taped or tie strapped in? Since I converted my truck to brushless the mount is no longer in place. Does it matter where its installed?
Thanks, mike

A hole in the body works fine for mounting the transponders. Held on by a body clip, somebody almost always has a body reamer at the track to cut one if you don't want to do it before hand. The size of 1/8th scale body hole is good.

Hey Kato.. the active front diff to some say yes it makes a difference and with others they say its a waste of $100. The only real way to know is to try it for yourself but i dont think its needed.

As for the transponder mounting all you would need to do is use a hole reamer and put it into the body.. our transponders are rechargable and do not require truck power.

To Randy. Thank You very much for the warning about the window tint paint.

To everyone else, I'll pass it on. "Do not use this paint!"

It bleeds right through your main body color. Might work if you masked off the whole body and painted the windows first but that's the only possibility. Sure glad I tested it on a spare body.

Perry- I'll have to figure out the total and get back to ya.

Hey Mike

Basically, to make a long story short, the active diff is locked when on power, and open when off power, right? That being said, it makes a huge difference in the way the truck handles. If you like a truck that over-steers a little when on power, do not use it in the rear. If you like your back end a little more planted, for all means, go for a rear active diff. The active diff in the front basically just makes the car more stable when exiting a corner. I personally do not use them on my 808 in Grande Prairie, but that's just me. A better way to spend the money would be to get a few different sized bevel gears for the standard diff. For some tracks, I like to drive with an overdrive front diff.

A comparison had to be done eventually...

Remember! The 10th scale is on the left!

And it doesn't even have "full size" tires on the front end
