2015 Golden State Off-Road Championship is coming up this weekend. Info at http://www.roadrunnersrc.com/#!2015-...ionship-/c1lzh

Make sure you get your entries in. Still need more drivers in 2wd Mod SCT, Run what you brung, and Stadium Truck Mod to meet the 5 driver minimum for those 3 classes.

Track will only be open to drivers with paid entries for practice starting at 9 am on Friday (7/31/15).

I see some Short Course Buggy entrants for the races. What constitutes a SCB? I have a 4wd Tekno SCT that can be converted to a buggy. If I slap a buggy body on there, does that count? Anyone who may have a SCB for sale, please let me know as I may be in the market, and saw one just sold on this site. thanks

Short course buggy is two wheel drive. The class your car would be is "run what you brung". Check the rules on our website just click on "off road classes" and you will get the requirements for each class.

Most are running AE or Losi SCT buggies I think they decided on 13.5 blinky for power.

Thanks Maxxican. I just settled on a price for a Proline pro 22 buggy online. Won't have it until next week though. Excited to have a place to race it and just happen to have bought a 13.5 motor this week. BTW - Strange coincidence I was researching where my seller bought it from, and I believe it was you. Did you sell a 13.5 Orion older vortex pro (gray one) to someone on the east coast? In any event, funny coincidence the motor goes from Camarillo to New Jersey, back to LA, only to race back in Camarillo again...

Looks like the weather was perfect for qualifying today. I'll be out in the morning to lend a hand, and see the racers battle it out in the mains!

2015 Golden State Championship: Wow what a great event, we had over 100 entries and 18 heats. I would like to give a very big thank you to all of the people that made it possible. As they say it takes a city to raise a family and we had so many volunteers it take several pages to list. A special thanks to Mike ODaniel for all of his hard work. This is a guy that only a year ago was one of our "bashers" just looking to drive his toy truck in a public park and now know how to run a big rc event. Thanks again Mike. And to all the racers, I made many new friends, you guys rock. The wheels never stop turning here at Roadrunners rc. Next up is the onroad track and Series race #5.

I would like to add an additional thanks to Bill Robertson who lived at our off-road track for a week to ensure the new rebuild was completed on time and it turned out to be a fantastic track. Also, to all those wonderful club members that helped make the 2015 Golden State Off-Road Championship a success, and the great drivers that attended the event, I thank you very much for your participation.

The results of the 2015 Golden State Off-Road Championship have been posted on our website at http://www.roadrunnersrc.com/#!2015-...ionship-/c1lzh

This weekend is On-Road Points Series #5 racing. Hope to see you all there. Will wash the track on Saturday and setup for some $5 practice afterwards. Sunday's racing starts at 9:30am.
