not a whole lot of info at the website? I checked out the track today and liked it.
do you have to be a member to run or race at either track?

no you do not have to be a member to run on the track. its a public facility during the non race days. so anyone can use it. but on race days and work party days the club is in control of both tracks. one is closed while the other is in use.

hope that clears it up for you.

One small thing I want to clarify; Yes you can also race with us on race days, its just slightly more money to sign up for the race if you aren't a member. Prices are still pretty darn reasonable though... I don't remember them changing since I raced with the club in the late 80s

Had a question that hopefully wont be that big of an issue. I was wondering if it would be possible to have another class run between expert stock buggy and mod buggy for those that wanted to run both at golden state. I was looking at last years heat sheets and it looks like mod was up right after expert stock. Having another class like sportsman stock in between the two would allow some extra time to swap motors and what not before mod. Thanks!

the club has done a great job in sorting heats with considering the racers in them. a heat in between would not help to swap a motor with your marshaling duties anyhow.
trust in the force of our fearless directors.

I was just trying to make sure it would be good. I wasn't asking for a heat, but a class. But its good to know that it shouldn't be an issue. Thanks!

Hello,

I'm a newbie. Have a Tekno SCT, and just ordered a Associated B5m with 17.5 motor. Which classes are available to beginners aside from "run what you bring". Anything novice?

thanks,
Jason

Remember tonight is $5 Friday Night Under the Lights on the off-road track! Come on out and enjoy the last chance to run on the current track configuration. After tonight the off-road track will be closed 18-30 July and rebuilt for the Golden State Off-Road Championship on 1-2 August.

Default 2015 Golden State Electric Off Road Championship

It's almost here. Track layout change. Unique trophies ordered. Sponsors added.
Don't be shy- let's get those entries sent in. Entries will be updated every couple of days.
It's a great event. Hope to see you there.
