Good to see. I'm not a Mini boffin but should bump into a few of the Mini Legends over the weekend. Shall ask the question and get back to ya.
However, always a good idea to check with the local hobby shop on what one they recommend - parts supply, durability. Because once your on the track you'll want to stay on track.
See ya at the Raceway

Nice to see we're back in action.
As for the mini's I haven't seen them race in the 5 months or so I've been turning up to Whalan. Rob is the only guy I've seen who brings a mini and that's more for his boy to have a lash around the track with. Also racing is every generally every fortnight, not weekly.

Mini's have always been a been hit and miss with regards to numbers, and whether there is enough to have ther own class (3+). Touring cars are the staple classes - electric stock (27turn motors), electric modified and nitro. But its all good because the run 'what ya brung' rule applies. Race control will always seed the racers / races matching similar talent and speed.
Look forward to seeing you at the Racetrack on Saturday.

Have you built it yet? If not here's episode 1 of Jimbo's tips for building the SPADA.
1. Shim the clutchbell
2. Ensure there is clearance between the inside of second gear and the outside of the 2 speed assembly. If not shave the high spot off the gear.
3. Spin the end of the pipe so the pressure nipple is on top. If not you'll end up with oily fuel.
4. Use a thin standard size servo horn for the throttle. Thick horns don't fit.
5. Ensure the steering arms clear the back of the bulkhead to give max steering. Don't worry about the markings L and R on the arms.
6. Put a spacer between the front outdrive and the oneway bearing - shock O ring. Should help with keeping the dogbones in the car.
The other five bits go together in a snap.
SPADA wars!
About that Sirio. Is it yours? Now the 4 tells me what? - how long the rear bearing lasts, Im just not sure if its minutes or hours (lol).
