Yes they did kick up a stink and its all true, I was walking out at 9:20pm on the friday and seen them packing shit into their cars.
They never asked to be the exclusive hobby shop at the show, I just guess they thought they would be. I bought it up in conversation with the event organiser and he was a bit pissed off about them kicking up a stink. I thought I should just leave it alone as just asking about it got him a bit pissed. Seems like they are feeling a bit of a pinch in the hobby market.

totally agree with you dude, sound totally like their form. have you been sitting in on the hobby shops thead here on rc tech, if not makes for a very interesting read.

Those things are a bitch to control, lol. Had a drive of a Serpent 1/8 last year with a Ninja .21 engine, dam it was a bullet, so easy to run out of track must have been a slow day as their were only 3 1/8ths racing at LH, but there was like 80 1/10'ths:P One guy (think he works at Complete hobbies?) lapped the entire field after 4-5 laps:P
I thought about getting one till my mate showed me what they cost ($1000 chassis+$400 engine+all the oither stuff) and they utterly murder foam tyres
