Dropped in for a look this morning, but didn't enjoy standing in the rain so didn't hang around long, but the sound and the smell has got interested again
Might actually run the XB808 I bought to race in 2009 Starter box and receiver battery need replacing, some fuel and it's good to go.

Hey, I hope you guys are ready to move track soon because your spot at morphettvale is going to be a bmx track sooner than later. See in the new Wilford Taylor reserve masterplan saying they are happy to relocate you to another venue.

See in the new Wilford Taylor reserve masterplan saying they are happy to relocate you to another venue! We went to their meetings hoping to have an extended R.C. prescience with an onroad track as well but that’s been shot down in flames after your pres suggested sdmcc wanted to move the existing track anyway. Your wish has been granted!

The R.C. community at large thanks you!

When did you attend a meeting regarding this?

The meeting was April 2018( woodcraft library with the council, the development team and reps from all the clubs in the park(netball, basketball!rugby etc). I don’t know his name but The old guy with the white beard who owns the bakery on beach road (was the sdmcc pres at the time) also attended and in this meeting he mentioned that sdmcc wanted to move to ohalloran hill where they fly planes as he wanted to establish an R.C. park there. This was noted and now looks like you’ve been overlooked and essentially your out. There is no R.C. track in the master plan. My understanding after making a couple of calls is that it’ll be about 18 months before work starts on the bmx facility which is where your track is now.

This all Seems to be done and dusted!

Don't know why they want to build a bmx track where the car track is? There is loads of land they can use around that spot.

I used to fly at the Holdfast club and they are looking at building a bmx track near there as well. Opposite the mountain bike area. I didn't even know bmx was popular again, all the tracks near me are usually empty 90% of the time.

When I lived on Opie St my LST2 put way more miles on the local BMX track than the bikes did, place was always a ghost town.

No one uses this forum anymore, but the racing is as strong as it's ever been.
Track is amazing with stacks of grip and very low tyre wear.

Racing is on today, there are usually enough people for 3 groups of nitro buggies.
