It doesn't matter what 1/8 car you have (but a mugen is good) you just race in the qualifiers and get put in the appropriate finals to how you qualified, not much more to know than that !

Thanx simon, nathan & phil for your help yesterday with my newby effort in nitro off road.seems like my cheep rtr car won't cut the mustard around the track ! to help it out a bit, can you or anyone else help with the following ; i will upgrade the servo's asap, does the throttle servo need to be as quick/ strong as the steer servo ? i saw the aka tyres fitted to a few buggies, what compound are they so i purchase the correct ones ?

no probs mate, good to see you out there, As for the tires aka I-beam in soft or med compound is the go to start of with as they basically work well in most conditions and the servo throttle doesn't need too be as fast as the steering servo check out (model flight) and ask for brad or smed and they will help you out with selecting the right servo for 8th scale as they have some well priced servo's that should get you ready to go.
