Have you actually had that feedback about them mick? Everything I've read today has been 5 stars all round...

You actually shaved over 2 seconds off you times with the less powerful motor!

So yes, you are getting better ! 2 seconds is a big improvement, on a 30 second track.

I have Pm'd you the link to the set up sheets, that the pros use. They are a good starting point, and you can tune from there to suit you. Rather than starting miles away from what is proven to work for others.

Not talking about the kyosho. SCT in general. Getting the thing not to rotate in the fast turns, whilst still having infield steering takes a lot of trial and error.
In the end i threw the setup sheets in the bin and put in the hours.
American tracks are nothing like knox. They are generally smooth and high grip.
Great fun though learning the basics of setting up a car.
Get your tyres right first. The setup will come down to your driving style.
I cant drive dan's sct for shit. Come to think of it, niether can he

I think I'm more excited to be building my first kit after owning so many RTR's, but not really looking forward to the maintenance schedule of a ball diff, considering how much I'll be driving the damn thing!
It'll probably still be a month or so off before I pull my finger out and order the electrics/body/tyres though..

Liam.

I believe so.

I am currently prepping my RC 1/10 scale Speedboat for the Knox Lakes Cup.

Awesome mate, what's the details of the lakes cup? I'm keen to come watch if it doesn't clash with a knox offroad club day...

If you put in that 5.5T from your SCB, the boat will clear the triple if there has been enough rain to flood the short straight run up!

QUESTION TIME!
Ball or geared diff?
I know geared is less maintenance, but will a well serviced ball diff outperform a geared diff?

What do you run, why, and how often do you service it?

Cheers,
Liam.
