Hey I agree with TJ and Brekky
As scrutineering for a number of events around the place most of the the mini drivers take the rule's seriously and the events are well run, but being at some club days about the town it is interesting seeing mini's with touring car rims/tyres,23 or 25 tooth pinions ,one ways? (no stop) illegal bodies and motors that don't conform to any rules and diffs that work like spools.
I can understand why someone had a spray (happy Jan) .
To those of us who endevour to play by the rules good racing but those who break them and cheat as someone said you are having yourself on

I can't see the problem with that. The main reason of me getting into Mini's is because I can get to run a Civic shell on normal club meets. If people think there is an advantage then I will be happy to run a legal shell and will be happy to post the same time if not quicker on any track to make you guys happy. We now have big meets like Mini Nationals, club challenge, Meca challenge, Muchmore Masters & TCS (the big one) to reinforced the Mini rules. Most of meets listed also use the same ruling but some are different. If someone wishes to run something different on the club day then just let them.

DAn,
The only problem with letting people do what they like on club days is that eventually the people who run to the normal Mini rules end up disillusioned and give up racing and the mini class dies out again. They should at least keep to the 20 tooth pinion rule so as to keep the class even.

The class will never die now since cheap stuff can be purchase on www.feralbatteries.com.au
Honestly I will be happy to run anything but just don't ban my super duper Honda Civic shell on a club meet

I got no problems with different shells, after all its Tamiya themselves that started that situation!
But I do have a big problem with pinions bigger than 20T and also the locked diff thing. Stuff like that should have a blanket ban everywhere.

change the shocks, buy decent rubber and run a sports tuned for starters

body shells shouldnt be an issue on club days for mini
