I finally got to race mine last weekend and found the same - great turn-in and exit steering but a bit lazy mid corner.

On my local track, this was only a slight issue on two corners, but on all the tight stuff the car was ballistic

I raised the inside front camber link by 2mm which seemed to help.

Broke my personal best race time in the second race (retired from the first race with a dud motor) and set 7 new fastest laps.

The drivetrain has loosened up nicely now, though I did raise the front layshaft bulkhead by 1mm which loosens both the front and middle belts.

Good to hear others having good results with the E4.

For those after the E4 FS version, there will be a wait as there are none in the country and team Magic is out of stock too.

Has anyone else had any trouble with the servo saver on their E4??? Mine decided it didn't want to live anymore and detonated tonight, the spring ejected at mach 2 and I lost one of the spring "caps" off the end. Now it doesn't go back together properly... NOT HAPPY! on the positive nothing else on the car broke when it slammed into the wall.

I tried for ages to get the servo saver together but gave up in the end and used a different one.

As for springs you can also use Tamiya (short) springs! Losi Type R also woerk very well.

Marcos,

You don't have part numbers and spring rates for the short Tamiya springs do you?

I've got TRF shocks on my car simply because all the springs I have are too long for the kit shocks.

I broke my first drive shaft last weekend... it was in an impact with another car that crashed in front of me so that probably had something to do with it... I am hoping the new 7075 alloy ones don't break

Setup on mine now is still close to stock - 1.3mm front sway bar, moved front top arm to outer hole on the bulkhead... still using the factory springs... this setup calms the steering a little on my track but still gives plenty

Just want to know what the difference is between the E4 and E4RS and which one is the higher end chassis, or better buy?

Also what is the point of the 2 chassis?

Where is the best place to buy one, would probably be looking a 2 so would want some good pricing?

Cheers
Aaron

I believe the RS has been released to clear up some of the "problems" and suggestions from the original E4... different (plastic) belt pulleys, different drive ratio, different top deck mounting for easier lipo fitment, easier motor fitment, motor cooling slots/ducts etc

As for performance on the track they would be pretty similar I would think as the geometry and layout is almost identical

There'll be 2 more maybe 3 more E4's doing the rounds in Sth East QLD soon. Placed our order, now just waiting for the goodies.

Cheers
