For the few guys that are running these cars, what are you're current setups and how close to the stock set-up are they?

I only ask because having built mine I have noticed a number of things about the setup which just seem very odd compared to other cars, such as:

*oils/pistons : With the kit oil/spring/piston combo the shocks really feel over-dampened compared to "usual" set ups - has anyone changed pistons or oils yet?

*bump steer : The car has massive bump steer for a touring car, it's an on-road equivalent of the old Hotshot
I've fixed mine after seeing what the guys in Hong Kong were doing but the question is - Is the bump steer just a mistake on the part of TM, part of a specific set up to match the design of the car etc

*anti-squat : The car comes with 2mm anti squat as standard
1mm under the front rear block, plus the block inserts sit higher in the front than the back. Overall the roll-center positions seem quite low to other cars but I am surprised at the amount of anti-squat as standard.

Would like to hear others thoughts regarding the above.

My E4 hit the track on sunday and while no serious racing was possible due to the weather the standard setup seems like a very good base.

Bump Steer - From what I've read and seen the E4 seems VERY good at quick changes of direction and I've been wondering if this is a by product of how the E4 is designed and setup. I've seen the changes other make on other forums but will wait until I get some more serious running.

Anti-Squat - before roll centers became as adjustable as they currently are I remember a couple of chassis that ran quite large anti-squat angles. They were usually less "professional" cars such as the TA03 and if I remember correctly, my old Yokomo YR4-M2 had quite a lot of anti-squat. Maybe its a bit of a case of "return to the future"?.

Ill be giving my E4 a run in 19t at SMA tonight... so far the car is as per kit setup except for the springs. Im testing out some TM G4 springs as an alternative to the mystery kit springs.

I gave my E4 its first run on Saturday with some impressive results. The car has a huge amount of steering and grip, its high piont so far is its quick direction change (chicanes). At the Windsor track i managed to get within .1 of a second off my PB, by the 3rd battery pack of the car. It will be interesting to see what times the car is capable of with more practice.

It took a couple of big hits aswell lol, with no broken parts yet and there is no signs of wear on any parts. But more running will soon tell the durability of the car.

So far i am impressed.

Did you make any major changes to the setup?... so far I have only changed the rear shock position and the rear sway bar a little

Yeah so far ive laid the shocks down one hole all round, this change made the car more stable and alittle more easier to drive. Ive also shortened the front camber link, this also made the car easier to drive. Otherwise everything else is still kit setup.

This Saturday im going to muck around with the bumpsteer and maybe some different spring rates.

I am also running 5 cell with the batteries all in the forward position.

Default E4

I ran my E4 for the first time last weekend, and like some other guys have metioned, I couldnt believe how much steering the car has. The other really noticeable difference compared to other cars i've driven was the speed of direction changes. Having the weight so close to the centreline seem to have made a massive difference in that area.

Car built up really well out of the box, the drivetrain was initially quite tight, but after only a pack or two has freed up noticeably, so much so that I might give it a run in a spec class to see how the three belt car goes.

Cheers

Did you use the 2nd hole on the c-hub or the outer hole on the chassis to shorten the front camber link?
