Default Help - I think I fried my dcx!

Don't ask how it happened, but I think I may have fried my dcx. I think I shorted it out when messy with some wires. I tested it with my other xtals/rx and tx and it is pretty much DOA.

So, what should I do next? Trash it or is it repairable?

Send it in to our service dept. and get them to look at it. They'll let you know if its repairable.

Off to the World of Wheels car show this weekend. We do a Off-Road race on astro turf. All heats are 8 min long, 6 cell stock motors, and the heats get added up through the entire weekend. He with the most laps at the end is the winner. It my first time racing it in the 11 years I've been involved with it. Been doing the PR and announcing for it all this time. Should be lots of fun. I'll let you guys know how it turns out on Sunday night. TTYL.

I just got a used spectra module but it didn't have the adjustment tool. How can I get one? Didn't see a part number on the website. I know I can just use a little screw driver but I like the clip on.

I guess most of the time I'll be near my pit box so I could just use a screw driver

well if you walk up to the drivers stand with your car/radio and then see what freq's are available you have the tool handy to dial it in.

then it can pop off while you are racing so you can loose it

If you look at the base of your radio you'll see a little knob on top of where the batt tray slides in, thats where you can clip it to. I usually just keep it in my pocket if I know i have to be changing the Freq. on the spectra when I'm at the drivers stand. TTYL.

The little clip on mine broke, so i just keep the screwdriver in my pocket. The little clip only lasted me a couple days I went to put it back on, and it cracked, and fell off.. I looked at it, saw it was cracked, but tried to clip it on again, and one side of the clip broke off... Doh!

Gary F.: oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh, n o w I g e t i t! I just realized that the clip isn't actually for the screwdriver. The screwdrver goes into the holder! Doh!

Now I see how it works!

Man, whatever happened to the guy I was talking to about getting more of those foam trigger things? He hasn't been here in a while. They came in the Hitec box, so somebody has to know how I can get at least two or three more of them?
