Talking

Hi, I have just bought a new Team brood stock motor, it is a black can not sure of the make. Could you tell me what make it is and at what rollout/finla drive should be. I run on asphalt outdoor(our times are here www.stmcc.com.au) and use rubbers. Also while I am here what is the rollout for a komondo 19t.
Your probably talking about the ROAR X stock which is a good motor for high RPM applications, large outdoor tracks being one of them. Total track size and layout has a lot to do with your gearing, if it's a large flowing track I would start with around a 7.8-8.0 to begin with, and adjust from there.

For the KD19 I would start with around a 7.5 and adjust from there. On our indoor asphalt track with about a 100' straight I found 7.6 to be about the best gearing for the KD19.

After a few cuts on your CO27s' is it beneficial to start experimenting with different brushes and spring combinations. Or should I contiue aligning hoods and using the same basic blueprint for tuning?

Peace,
C

usually when i do motors at races if it works i dont touch it....all weekend long,

but if you are running week to week then if it is hotter try a brush with more silver, most situations i stick with the f-brush cause it works all around...

smaller the comm gets the more time i break the brushes in for...

we pretty much always use the 4499's on motors we ship out as they are the "work in every situation" brush. but if you want a little more power try the f-brush

Thanks Garrett, I put a set of F's in this weekend and the motor rocked. Used the same brush spring combination that you all shipped me in another motor for the main and it was lacking some Rs'. Will try more with the cans I think some need to be zapped.

Peace,
C

I read every email that I get...but I cannot say every email gets through the spam filter. Due to the volume of emails I get I don't always remember by a first name, Cheston, if you sent me something important please resend it if you needed a response.

If your email was regarding a sponsorship request and didn't hear anything back, no offense, we typically do not respond to most requests unless they warrant response due to the volume of them we receive. Hundreds of emails a day, dozens of sponsorship requests...they are all read.

We have some really rad deals on Monster stocks right now, Brandon. Cheaper than anything used you will get. Check the web site for the blowouts and you will see..

We don't really have much in a used motor line, but keep an eye out we might be having a garage sale of some old stuff pretty soon.

Default KD19 Help needed

Hi,

I've just received my KD19 from brood racing.

On the can as well as the armature, I see EPIC and ePIC19 stamped all over...could they made a mistake to send me an EPIC instead of the KD19 I ordered?

Any ideas anyone or am i missing something?

Epic stands for Erine Provetti, InC i.e. Trinity, the makers of the Komodo 19T motor.

Thanks, Adrian..

Yep...all the KD19's are stamped EPIC. EPIC is Trinity.

..am waiting to hear word back from Garrett if he found the place, but if he did, Brood was in the house for SoCal's last night of on road racing. Sorry to hear the place is shutting down..
