I'm also wondering when Brood will have some more 4200 cells in? Carpet season is starting up around here and I am needing some cells. I ordered some of their 3800 cells a couple winters ago (last time I did electric racing) and was very happy with them.

Another question. For the IB4200 you charge them without any type of fan on them, correct? Also, how do you store them from week to week? Charged, partially charged, or empty?

Garrett is the definition of a slacker. I'm amazed he finds his way to work every day..

I cannot say much though, I have yet to start packing for IIC and on top of it I have not ran a 1/12 car in nearly two years...I think my A-Main chances are pretty good though..

Heat is a huge enemy to the IB cell. Charging the cells we have in stock right now properly is very important. While I do not think you want to actively cool them with a fan, I think it is a excellent idea to passively cool them with a heat sink. Either the MuchMore battery heatsink, or something similar is almost a must when charging these cells (if you want them to last.) Either that, or charge them at a lower rate so they do not heat up as fast. You want to keep the temperature below around 118-120F. I set my chargers to peak at around 116F, which on a CTX Cellmaster is a peak of 18mv.

For storage, my experience has found that storing them charged is the best thing and occasional cycle of the pack if your going to be storing them for months at a time. Many people report soft cells after storing for awhile, the batteries I bought back in Feb/March of this year have not been used hardly at all during the summer other than a random cycle here and there - I discharged them and charged them back up and they still hold really good numbers. I stored mine 100% charged, and about mid way through the summer I ran them through a cycle.

Default Motor configuration for touring 12t 5 cells

Next year we will race touring cars with 5cells and 12t motors in the french SSB class.

This yeat, I usually run checkpoint with infinity brushes and 12x1 armature (no grooved) with 6 cells.

I'd like to have an idea of the kind of motors configurations will be the best with 5 cells.

PLEASE READ REGARDING RECENT SHIPPING ISSUE:

PayPal recently changed the way their system handles payments and updates our system without telling anyone - this has caused many orders to be not processed because we did not realize they had been paid for.

We are currently resolving the issue and orders placed after 10-03-2007 should have no issue going through.

We are going through each order placed and checking to see if it was paid or not - if shipping was not correctly charged we will get in touch with you about paying the shipping before we send out your order.

We apologize for this delay for our many customers who were effected by this error. We will work hard to catch up on all of the orders that "got missed" due to this unfortunate event.

best thing to do if you still have the 12x1 rule is stick with the same arms and cans, get some new sticks and gear differently, it will be about the same speed, since the weight is less and all...

at this time there are no plans to carry the ep cells, if smc starts matching them then maybe, but as of now we get all our batts matched by smc and we pretty much always get sweet cells...

as for speedmerchant: , we carry all the parts and our getting a shipment of rev 5 parts very soon, bruce has been a 1 man show for a while now, and since he makes the carbon parts it takes a little bit to get some stuff, but he said that he is hiring some workers and moved to a new shop and that turnaround time will be cut way down, we havent had problems getting anything, we usually just call him and he sends parts out, we pretty much have a live inventory of the merchant parts, in a week or 2 we should have all the new parts...
