Ok, got a few questions

1. What is the performance different between all the pulleys.
2. How do you go about replacing the tank and a rear belt (dont wanna more than needed)
3. What are some makeshift things I can use for checking my chassis setup .etc?
4. And what are "Active Speed" foams like?

Thanks,
LogiK

Has anyone on here tried using the front diff. setup that came with the car? I went and got all the extra parts needed to put it together like the manual stated...but in doing so...it doesnt seem to fit.

#1. It seems it is too wide..and the bearing/hub rubs on each side.

#2. The steering rack hits the diff. case.

Please tell me there is something I am missing here...as I have looked over the manual a dozen times.

Thanks
Derek

Did you use the correct diff outdrive? The fronts and rears are different:

Front: T0202 Diff Cup Joint
Rear: T0261 Diff Cup Joint

Also what Ackermann insert/position are you using?

I think the problem is with the diff pulley....if you are using one way...there is a plastic piece which you need to glue it to the pulley but you can't glue it if you are using the diff or spool.....if anyone got an exploded diagram....it is easier to pin point the part.....

Very good. That is part T0258B in step 2 of the MTX-4 manual. As you stated, you're not suppose to use that part when using the front diff. It's easy to overlook that if you're reusing the pulley from the one-way.

Ok, well I looked and it does have the ring...

will that fix the issue of it hitting the steering rack when it turns?

If your diff rubs and seems too wide. Check and make sure the pulley is fully seated on the diff housing. Take a real close look you will see that the pulley is slightly off the diff housing. I had the same problem.

Well, I tried installing the diff with no pulley at all......the steering arms still hit the diff housing.

this is quite interesting.....as i was thinking off bringing down the internal ratio too.....but your set up now have bring the rear internal ratio to 1.95 from 2.15 and with 25 t pulley even with the same tyre diameters....you still have about roughly 10% more rear wheel drive.....

in any case how does it translate to driving feels???
