Look...if its gonna break, then its gonna break, no matter what material its made out of. From a "simply stronger material" stand-point, then yes, the Graphite is far stronger. But personally, I'd rather have something snap than it be warped for the entire race and leave me wondering why my car feels funny....

Whoa whoa whoa..calm it down.

stu - The facts: as long as the ambient temperature is warmer than the 50's or so, graphite is stronger and less prone to breaking than the plastic or RTR parts..simple as that.

bad attitude - A simple setup change will fix all of those problems.

I was thinking about getting the trinity p2k2 pro. I think it is 21t or something like that. Will that be slower then the 19t that came in my truck?

BA, yes it is. The lower the number of turns, the faster it will be.

Yep the p2k2 is slower. It's a stock motor, where your 19 turn would be considered a modified motor.

Most of the time. A closed endbell bushing RTR 19T may not always be faster then a good stock motor but as a rule of thumb the lower the turns the faster the motor.

AW

Hope your having happy holidays.

Was wondering about the gap between the header and the pipe, how it effects bottom end.

I herd the smaller the gap the better bottom end, but I just read the opposite.

THanks

Adam - Ambient is just a fancy word for "don't include wind chill"..haha. How ya been? Do you still have AIM?

Bad Attitude - The P2K2 is a 27 turn stock motor. Which car do you have that came with a 19 turn? Sometimes the stock motors in RTR cars aren't very strong..but some are.

CTRJ - There was a Worlds Edition XX4, so there are all of Losi's hop-up parts for it. X-Factory makes the X5 single belt conversion for the XX-4. Make sure you take care of your belts and you'll be fine.

local racer - Last I heard, he raced for Panther and Jake-A-Fied motors..

Dave - A smaller gap will give you less bottom end. I usually have about 1/4 inch gap between the header and pipe. Pipe and header length also make a huge difference in powerband, so it's not just the gap that changes things. Don't ever let the pipe and header hit each other, or it can cause you car to glitch.
