I got my MI2 on Friday, and raced it for the first time today. WOW, I love this car. The drivetrain is quieter than a ninja in a library, and smoother than silk. The car goes exactly where you point it, and gets there quickly. I did break a hub carrier though. Should have a review on my website by the end of the week.

Great Job guys!

Bryan

They are a little weak compared to the steel one's but I ran my plastic one's with a spool and no breakage. My plastic one's didn't break until I switched to a oneway and was blasted by a guy that couldn't handle his 8x2.

Congratulations to Chris Putnam, T.Q and winning Modified at the Melb track and Hobby Indoor annual.
With myself in 3rd place making it a sweet podium domination in modified =)

An almost perfect Debut for the Mi2 in Oz...

Chris drove very consistently to avoid the carnage through traffic which seemed to affect most of us...

The Mi2's were Dialled, my consistency and luck throught traffic letting me down, not the car, not a single breakage through the weekend between us.

My setup as follows (Chris ran Identicle, minus the Roll centre positions and bettery (chris running kit std positions).

Note extremely tight technical track 3m width, med high grip, low 8 second lap times

Front:
Spring : blue
oil / piston 40 wt - 3 hole piston
Length 64.5 mm
Anti Roll bar 1.6mm Kit standard
Ride height: 5mm
Droop: 3mm
mounting Position: middle on tower, outer on arm
Roll Centre location: LOWER INNER (raised roll centre) (Chris running upper inner)
Roll centre plates used
Castor: 2 degree
Camber: 1.25 degree
Arm position Middle
Toe out .5 degree
Arm sweep (inboard Toe - 0 degree)
ackerman positon : outer holes (agressive)
Wheel base spacers, Tamiya red and blue 3mm total (189 mm track width)
Front Differential used (slightly tighter than rear)

Rear:
Spring : blue
oil / piston 40 wt - 3 hole piston
Length 65.8 mm
Anti Roll bar: Standard
Ride height: 5.5mm
Droop: 4mm
mounting Position: 2nd outer on tower, 2nd outer on arm.
Roll Centre location: LOWER Middle Kit standard on Hub (raised roll centre)
Roll centre plates used
Anti squat - 0mm
Camber: 1 degree
Arm position Forward
Toe In 3 degree
Wheel base spacers, Tamiya red 2mm
Gearing 10.2:1 (95/20 ) 17 tooth pulley
Motor 8x2 Kry, brushes Actron, 12 degree timing
Cells Schumacher gp 3300
Cell Position Forward, angled in at front out at rear.
Speed Controller C.S rocket max, Punch control : 3 AFC off, Drag brake 1
Tires T.O 27 (control) inserts: Medium soft Takeoff (just cleaned using C.S cleaner, no additive)
Shell Mazda 6, Cut rear wing height.

Notes.
Raised Roll centres allowed the car to transition very quickly through the extremely Technical infield Chassis took set very quickly.
Battery forward helped the car to get into the slow hairpin corners much better.
Wheel spacers helped increase grip for slow speed corners.

Thanks Gav-It sure was fun and the Mi2s were amazing.

Well done with 3rd from being in the middle of the grid. Especially with not finishing the last final!

I will attempt to fill out a setup sheet to post online soon.
