No I'm using the standard chassis, and the tweak is severally off, yet the car handles perfectly!!!! Heck steering left to right is even from min. speed to full throttle........ It just bothers me, the left rear lifts almost 3mm before the right rear even begins to uncompress.....

Impact- swap your front shocks left to right and see if the problem follows the shocks.

Well I'll be damned, yes it does, I think I may have found the problem, all measurments read the same..... Except spring length!!! one is 1.334" and the other is 1.400"------ After looking at the offending springs I noticed that the long one has an excess of paint build-up between the ending coils..... remove it with an x-acto, and the springs are not equal length......

worked.... now all I need todo is take all my schuie springs to teh wire wheel on my becnch grinder....Muhahaha!!!!! Thanks BIGDOG!!!!!!!!!

Sup yall. The RW Pullies are not out yet. They are only avaliable for pro drivers. They will be out soon. I will let you guys know when.

lol...Impact, a while back i posted this same dillema, I grabbed a set of calipers, measured all 4 springs, and locked the calipers to teh shortest spring..

if they are out by much though, the grinding method will weaken the longest springs and could change their rate slightly..

I found that my springs were needing some dremeling on the ends to get exact heights...works a treat!.

I went on to do it to all of my spring sets.

I found the same thing with my Schuie springs some were longer then others.....thats what led me to other springs like Associated and Losi springs.

Associated Springs are too short So u just bunch up them lil spacers till u get the ride height

you still run the spacer in the mid of the rear diff? I took it out and it freed up the drive drivtrian alot.
Just maybe try it sometime thing

Just built mine up with RW Pullies yesterday. Much much better. The belts are much looser, the rear feels just nice now. I am wondering if the front belt is actually a little loose, it won't slip, but will probably be flapping against the chassis.

The balls are not on the same twin track as the origional kit ones. I'm not sure if they are all on the same track or if it is a very close twin. I didn't have time to measure them up as i had to get the car together so i could go to a club meeting!!

I didn't use the centre belt guide on the rear, but then i had stopped using it on the std pullies.

Yep it is possible to get the diffs very smooth. The process that i use is very similar to the one posted earlier, exept the way i put teh greese on. It is a process that Adrian posted some time ago (possibly on the RC Touring forum).

Ian, You can see if the thrust washers need changing as they will be marked.

Fireblade , with Associated springs I turn the threaded collars over to make them work. I origanally switch over because the car sat too high with the collars rubbing the mounting screws for the shocks. Now with the shorter springs the collars are centered on the shock body. I do use the thin plastic centering spacer though.
