The L12X3 is newer than S12X3.The L12X3 is different from the D12X in the crankcase.And STS 2010 new .12 engine will come soon.

The D3R head button is designed for a Nova Rossi taper angle. OS Turbo plugs have a different taper angle and will loosen up during operation, frequently. I used the Nova Rossi #6, RB (CP-02 Turbo) 01051-6, and the Merlin (Turbo 6 EHD), all of these plugs have the NR taper angle.
The RB and Merlin plugs lasted the longest, but the NR plugs worked great also.

im looking at getting the D5R .12, anyone here have any experience with this engine and what engine in the novarossi line of engines is it comparable in power to?

Hi

I was going to order the 853 until i discovered it was a 5 port instead of a 3 port like the L12X3.

So i just ordered a L12X3....

What glow plugs do you recommend for it?

Starting running in my L12S3 today... What happened to the writing on top of the engine head?

Does Dino still work at STS?

Just ran my first big race with my D3R and these engines are beast. Best $90 I have ever spent for an engine.

The famous 1/10 touring car race in China is called 發財杯 held in the last weekend and 100 entries from China,Hong Kong,Macao,and Taiwan strive for the highest honor. STS factory driver Howard Cho used STS 853 engine to get 2nd position.
