No problem I was going to originally run a Havoc 1s then ordered it. Novak was out of stock so I cancelled the order and picked up a RS.

do the Hot Bodies 12X spur gear work on the rc12r5? does anyone else make 64p spur gears in one tooth increments like them that fit the rc12r5?

I run PRS Spur gears, they are available in 1 tooth increments.
Very high quality, 12 ball configuration.

has any one ever had this problem.

i bought a 12r5 today and it was all new in the box except for the chassis. he had replaced it with his old r5 chassis and put the new one on his r5. so it still had all the r5 parts just the chassis had some use on it.

as i was putting the rear end together i noticed it did not line up.

here are pics to show you.

any one know what my problem could be?

thanks.

Yep, that is a R5.1 bottom plate and a R5 topplate. The R5.1 bottom plate is the same as the 10R5 en a little wider than the stock R5 pod.

The motormount and left bulkhead are both R5 so the best you can do is either ask the guy you bought it from to give you the correct (R5) bottomplate or order one somewhere...

Also, I noticed that the crossbrace is mounted in the wrong direction...

guys dont forget about that "brushless update" that came out where they used some 10r5 parts on the 12r5. he should be able to just get a 10r5 toplate and the proper hubs and be good to go, right? the bulkheads and toplate on thr r5.1 are totally different from the rc12r5 and rc10r5. i cant find the pages onteam associated's site right now, but before the rc12r5.1 came out they changed the rear pod on the 12r5 with some parts from the 10r5 so that brushless motors weight was balanced better

Default droop adjustments...

how do you adjust the droop for the rear pod. i also understand you can adjust it for the front end. how is this done. the manual sure could be more intuitive for us newbies. thanks in advance.

download the 12r5 and and 10r5 manuals from the rc10 website and save them. do some comparison as to what you have going on. itll be easy to figure out which pats are incorrect. also, same them for reference. youll need the right side hub and cone as well. ive done this complete conversion beacause i scored my 12r5 very cheap on ebay brand new. i payed like a buck twenty five for it. it made the conversion very easy to swallow. good luck.
