i wonder. is this Area51's version, it cant possibly be a second model? how weird that would be to make an upgraded version, of a car thats not out yet>?

I was confused on this new shock design but now that I see more close up photos it is quite interesting. It appears the shock shaft extends all the way through the shock and out of the shock cap on both ends...essentially a double ended shock which is how they could build it truely neutral. A very ingenious design.

Associated stepping up to the plate with some new idea's and a new ride is proof that 12th scale racing is making a strong comeback!
The front end looks a bit fragile to me... only time will tell...

yeah, thats interesting, but i believe they went too complex with it, and all its doing is adding a bit of weight. I like the carbon brace in the front, and the lower shock mount, very nice.

Fragile? Looks stronger to me. The lower arms look thicker and it's a nice strong aluminum part that bolts to the chassis.

yeah, the front looks pretty good, but i dislike how they made it so all existing designs wont work with it. also, how come in one of the pictures, they use a fiberglass t-plate and in the other they dont? which is gonna be the final design?

I agree they should have stuck with the 8-32 mounting screws for compatability. That is a bit of a let down. The production version uses the links but the T-plate chassis will be option parts.

i honestly have no desire to get one, because i know there will be a lot more companies changing their cars around to be like the L5, and then, guess whos going to be moved in the backround? associated most likely. Not yet, but pretty soon, i bet.
