What center geardiff fits in the xray 14?

I know it says to weight the diff fluid in the manual but I went with the Ty tessmann fill up 100% method I was wondering if that's ok ????????? I don't have a scale !

There's been a few hiccups in the 2015 manual, this is likely also an error. If you go back a number of pages or google it, you'll see Team drivers tried a center diff in the 2014 with some modification. From a glance of photos, you'll see it would require the 2015 composite 'rear' center diff housing, the center diff of course, the new 2015 center CVD's and new 2015 top decks....plus the added fun of drilling two new holes in your aluminum chassis and some dremel'ing of the original plastic tub chassis and some battery fitment....

Wont be(or shouldn't be) a "drop in" as they claim.. The bearings are wider apart in the 15, so you can change bearings on the slipper without disassembly.
But it should fit the stock axles fine, as the overall length (slipper and chassis) is the same.. You will need to move one or both of the motor mounts depending on bearing location, which will change your top deck mounts.

Ironically I just tried this last night. I had long ago tried it with my 2014 car and wondered if I'd get the same results with the 2015 kit. The problem isn't so much the hex width as it is the off-set of the B5M wheels to the XRay wheels. This is especially true with the front wheels. The front of the car gets dramatically wider when you try to use the JConcepts 12mm hex and B5M front wheels.

I just ordered my center diff directly from RC America . . . Ralph is a great guy! Now, I would love to hear some real world track results, specifically what diff oil you're using for high traction. Not super ridiculous high traction, but good solid damp clay track high traction. I find it hard to believe that the recommended 500K is needed. The B44.3 and D413 are using anywhere from 60K - 100K depending on traction, so why wouldn't our XRay be in the same ball park? I just don't want to put 500K in it and find out it's way to much and then have to figure a way to scoop that super glue out to replace it

It'll depend on which hexes you bought, I think there's one for Kyosho wheels, and one for B44 wheels, can't speak for the Kyosho ones, but you can use a 22-4 front on the B44 hex & still be ok for width, at least mine fits in "the box" we have for regional/nationals here in the UK.
