+1 I thought that as well when I first noticed it. But the 6.1 comes with all silver springs. Also check the pics on ae's site and youll see it has all silver springs.

I'm racing tomorrow so a quick response would be awesome. What pinion gear should I run with a Novak Ballistic 25.5 for VTA in a TC6.1? It's on carpet on a medium size track.

what spur gear are you using? The stock one isnt gonna work for a 25.5 motor.

a 50 will get you to a 4.0 which is a safe gear ratio to start with. Start gearing up if the temps come off ok. I can fit a 51/100. Not sure if you can go to a much larger pinion without going to a smaller spur.

What pinion would be good to start with for 17.5 blinky class? Again, I have a 100t 64 pitch spur right now.

Anyone know a good final drive ratio to start with for 17.5 blinky class on a medium size carpet track? I hear for 25.5 class a 4.0 fdr is good. I am guessing the fdr will be bigger for the 17.5 class but just wondering what a good starting point is? Thanks
