Good luck with 4.0 fdr and 17.5t ! It will depend on your motor timing now..... I don't mess with my ballistic timing at all......
I figured this has been answered previously, but what are some quick ways to drop weight in this car? Obviously, screws, turnbuckles, etc..... but anything else?
It comes off at 150 temp...
mid size carpet track. FDR 3.1 something

Thanks!!! Ran VTA on saturday with my TC4, and was impressed, just a bit on the heavy side.
Shorty lipo, aluminium diff halves and plastic driveshafts (IRS make the nice versions of the latter two items, great as long as you don't run a spool). Otherwise it is quite a chubby car, it always has been. Don't waste your money on any of the c/f plastic parts they are no lighter, I weighed up everything when I converted my plastic tub over to c/f. Even on something as big as the chassis their was only 1g in it.

Stock chassis 156g
Carbon chassis 131g
25g difference, thats almost 4 lead weights.

When using a short Lipo you loose something like 90 grams on the left side, is anyone moving ESC over to the left (next to the servo) in order to not screw up the L/R balance of the car...? Or is 90 grams insignificant in this respect...?

I have my esc behind the shorty next to the motor. The shorty & esc weight as much as my servo rx & motor.
At 3.65fdr motor temp was 132°F after over eight Minutes of practice... I could go higher, but speed/acceleration were good......
Pellefa, I run my Car unbalanced with a 208gram battery, and all I can say is that I turn right full throttle faster than if the Car was balanced... Left turns are another story, but with low roll centers, traction rolling is not an issue. Total vehicle weight seems more important though: under 1420grams should be competitive, although I can see mine competing at 1475grams easily.... As far as gearing goes, 3.39 fdr should be blazing fast with all radio settings up....

My TC4 goes right when applying power
SAXO had this isue some time ago and solved it by tightening the rear diff. I did the same, but issue is still there, although improved. I tighened it fully, then opened up 1/2 on the screw as per the manual.
Should I go tighter on the diff or rather check other stuff on the car...?

I've also ran into problems when running more than One degree camber in the rear, and less than two degrees in the front: I spinout bad..... I also realized that the underbelly of the chassis needs to be free of gunk, and cleaned with motor spray after every run or else it will scrub corner speed and cause spinouts.... Finally , the tc4 handles better on throttle than Off: getting Off the gas causes spinouts....
