MUGEN SEIKI MRX5
#2626
Hey guys, i'm having some issues with my mrx5. I need more braking before the turns and at the end of the straight. In my 10th scale I put a front diff in the car and it added so much braking but I was told there is no front diff for the mrx5? I have my brakes set as harsh as I can get them without it spinning out and its definitely not enough. It spins out real easy if I jam on the brakes any more than I have it set right now. What do u guys suggest?
Thanks!
Kyle

My mrx5 is a little weak on the braking I learned to just drive with it I was thinking option parts but I've Gotten mixed reviews about the Hopup brake pads some say the braking is weaker with them some say braking is stronger so I'm up in the air about purchasing the option pads but just driving has fixed the braking issue somewhat.

1. A strong and faaaaast servo, slow servo does not get the job done and will overheat
2. If you can adjust the ABS point on your transmitter try these:
a. Adjust your mechanical brake until it starts to lock the wheels at the end of a straight full speed than jam break
b. Switch on the ABS or ALB depending on your transmitter
c. Adjust the stroke to 70%
d. Brake point to 85%
e. Release 0.04 s
f.Hold 0.04 s
g. Lag 0.00 s
The whole brake system is std on my MRX5 but the break power with ABS is amazing
All starts on your servo speed and the best and strongest I have tried so far for ABS purposes is KO Propo, many others will burn soon with above setup.

ABS does not work for everyone. The one loves it and the other looses the feeling in the brake as he has no control over it.
It is not what you need to use but something you have to try.....
With my MRX4 I switched back to a very old and proved system, an epoxy brakedisc on plain steel brakepads. It is very stable in braking and went from a 13 gram to a 3 gram disc.
