It's not hitting top speed yet...2.4mph to go. Radio range is something else to consider, im running Dx3r pro and dsm2 reciever so im borderline on range.

Tire failure during my 2nd attempt sucked.
Here is the tire analized video

New bodies in route!!
NISSAN GTR GT1
https://www.google.com/search?q=gtr+...h=643&imgdii=_
Mclaren MP4 GT3
https://www.google.com/search?q=mcla...w=1366&bih=643
Ferrari 458 GT3
https://www.google.com/search?q=458+...w=1366&bih=643

I should have prototypes by the weekend!!
they are all for the long chassis.
Look for pre-orders on RCShox.com next week!

I dont post on this thread seems like you guys are puttin the hammer down on speed runs!!
For those of you that are course racing there has been some significant upgrades for this chassis here lately!
  • 2 stage pistons
  • arm braces
  • ball bearing ackerman bars are in the works
  • short rear shocks also in the works!
  • lots of new setups that almost directly convert to the electric
  • TeamC has released harder 16mm springs

Short rear shocks, lower CG and better spring choices

Ball bearing ackerman bar, gets rid of slop, much better mid corner steering, gets rid of bump steer!

Hi Marcus,

what will be the wheelbase for those new bodies ? 325 mm or 360 mm ?

Hey MantisWorx,

Nice setup! I'm also looking to go with shorter shocks in the rear. Does changing the rear toe block make a huge difference in cornering speeds?

..and what kind of swaybar linkage is that on your car?

Well not so much for corner speed as adding stability, its stock linkage i just changed the set screw! LOL

No time to read this entire thread but have you played with difusers? I have found them to be a great benefit with high speed and they dont use much drag, if you had a body with little or no rear wing and an underbody diffuser i bet you could pick up a few MPH. That thing is fast though no doubt!

Hi Marcus,

thanks for the quick reply.

Fortunately for me they are all long chassis.

So they will fit the new brushless car I´m designing right now.

Those bodies look like they will be sick! I'm running the stock Gt-V2e rear diffuser are there any other options I can modify? I'm headed to rcshox.com right now to check it out.

Even though he's a nitro guy Marcus is the man with this chassis. I've got his 3* toe plate and arm stiffeners on my gtv. Haven't made it to the track yet but test runs in the street show the car noticeably more planted and flat with those as not flexing and drive out of the corners as well without the massive amount toe that the factory has
So all you gtv guys check out Marcus's site

I'm definatley going to pick up a body or two! I like the arm brace idea. There is a ton of flex in these arms!

They just sent me pix of the bodies, they "say" that they are all long but i just dont see how the MP and 458 are long. But these are some badass bodies! tell me what you think?

Thanx for the compliments guys!
This platform is starting to show some real potential! i managed to Q7 in Joliet at the byrons challenge which has been the most stacked event so far for GT in the US. I have a customer witha long chassis that is VERY quick, I am probably going to build up a long chassis car again since everything has evolved so much.

Jstall, that not really much of a difuser but you can build on it, if you are running open on the bottom of your car you are giving up a lot of speed and traction, AERO is king here is one that i contructed using the stock one as a base:

I can t find a pic of the assembly but you want the entire bottom of the car sealed to the edge of the body and the beginning of the difuser.

I will have the first sample bodies this weekend, once i paint and take pix i will have to place a big order . I will have a pre-order on the website and i am telling you guys now that my PM box is blowing up for these so if you dont pre-order dont expect that i will have them in stock for the first round becuase i more than likely will not!!
