Hey, you made it! How did you get 36t spur? Are you running a kershaw 6mm or 8mm bore pinion as a spur?

Last night I changed the shock oil to ae 80wt front and rear. Ill probably drop the rear to 60. The shocks actually feel like they have some dampening now instead of just spring. The shocks have 5 hole pistons and they are pretty large holes. I tried 40wt vs stock with no springs and stock was firmer feeling so I kept going up. The suspension feels and drives really nice now for what im doing. I need better batteries very soon! Im only running 3400mah 30c 3cells. Im sure im pulling all they can deliver already and I want to gear up soon!

I should add that the shock caps were the tightest I've ever seen, I mean ridiculously tight. One was fine but the other 3 were seriously tight. Get out the vice grips and rag on the shock body and put a screw driver thru the cap tight. I was like WTF? Why does this have to be so hard lol.

Xo-1 tires came in, waiting on cvd's. Still need to order gears and batteries. One week at a time since I only have time to work on the car on the weekends. Thinking about flairing the fenders on the warrior body to clear the tires better using fiber glass.

I just contacted nitrohouse about my fathers day order and good news it finally shipped. I'll have full cvd's and new batteries SMC 2x3s 6500 70c to test very soon! Last run was 86.1mph, 13.9mph to go! I've got a bigger pinion coming too! I could hit 100mph very soon! WooHoo!

Default First Post on RCTECH!

Been out of the hobby for awhile and started getting back into it last year. Recently picked up a GT-V2e and slapped on a Kyosho Aston Martin body. It's setup for track and cornering and it handles great!

The car is pretty cool, I've been enjoying it! Check out my youtube road to 100mph video series I've been doing if you get bored.
This is my current GT-V2e configuration.

I actually did watch one or two of your videos!

I have a friend that has the same car and has gone 100+mph. I'm not sure what gearing he has but its pretty stupid fast.

Ya, I'm still trying to get over my fear of that kind of speed! Baby steps! I mostly do indoor off road so these kind of speeds are insane for me!

What tray are you using to mount all your electronics?

I hit 86.7 lol. I think it had more in it but I hit a curb turning around about 100yds away and my gps turned off so I didn't get a reading on what I felt was a better run. Maybe next time. I was impressed with the smc batteries though, performance was insane, almost scary. The 6s 70c on the 2650kv tork motor is rediculouse! I'll keep ya posted.
