Thanks for the info guys, is the V3 spool the one that comes with the stock kit ie front one way and spool all in one? Can someone please explain the cutting of the rear deck in detail as I dont understand sorry.

RCMarket can you please give me the part numbers for Version 3 spool, with POM outdrives and alu sleeves.

Cheers
Adrian

Korey... as for your setup, a couple things i didnt see.

1. front and rear arm spacing.
2. rear hub spacing
3. what motor
4. final drive ratio

36R's???? WTF, we thought we had high bite running up to 32R's....

thanks for the help.

Oh... I thought the arm spacing was pretty much stock. I dont have the car in front of me, but I do remember I have the front wheelbase a little shorter than the stock setting.

I have the thick spacer in front of it, and the thing one behind it. As far as the rear I have the thick spacer in front and the thin in the back. The rear hub is the same way as the rear arm. So the rear end is stock as far as I know.

Yea, we have a lot of grip at my track. 32's wear out in about a run, plus they have a very narrow temp range. It's bumpy too, so it can throw me for a loop every now and then when it comes to setup.

As far as motor... I've been running a little bit of everything. Not so much mod right now, but mainly 10.5 and 13.5. Gearing depends so much on the track and motor battery combo, so I'm not going to get into that. I am running the 18T center pulleys that give a 2.166 internal ratio since they came stock with the TC kit.

@korey
Why do you need 2 degree camber and 75% shock rebound on high grip Track?
Interesting

The Sorex/Speedmind premounts just need more camber to wear even since they have so much airgap. 75% remound is just where I start all the time. I tend to like a lot of rebound anyway... it makes the car come back to center faster for me.

You mentioning about the 2 degree camber that you said use on your set up I tried Friday, when I came to use it on Sunday, I notice it was wearing the inside half of the tire only (Sorex 32s), so stood them up to 1.5mm but it still wasn't wearing right across the tire, any suggestions please.

Camber should always be set to get the proper wear/contact patch to the track. 2 may have worked for him at his track and track design but it doesn't seem like it's working for you. Another thing could be that you might be running too thin of an insert. I have seen that cause a tire to wear on the inner portion of the tire with increased camber.

Just run whatever camber you have to. My track is very high grip and veeerry tight. So we're throwing the car around a lot more than most people would. So somethings might be different than what most other people would run on a typical track.

If you are still having problems with the tires wearing odd, you can also try taking shims out from under the camber links. That will increase negative camber as the supension compresses. This will generally create more grip too, so you will have to make other changes around the car to keep it from becoming too stuck.

If you have a lot of airgap in your tires the really weird wear on the inside of the tire can be hard to avoid. My tires still wear a little funny, but the car drive better with 2 deg of camber in my conditions.
