I am curious how the clicking is going to affect long term belt wear. I understand that it is alright, but I just don't want to be replacing belts every six months.

You can run the belt loose for stock but for modified add enough tension that when you press on the belt area between the diff and the spur, the belt can sag under finger pressure by about 1/4 inch.

The belt will not skip under mod acceleration but may skip under hard braking. The belt skip under hard braking is said to not have an effect on belt wear.

Troy, you're just bitter that I beat you!

Anyways, Marc will hopefully get me that footage of you running your XXX-S and your motor exploding so I can convert it to a format that you can download.

From what I saw, your car seemed very loose to me and not tight as you said. You kept loosing it around the hairpins.

Fireball - I was driving it like a nitro, thats why it might have seamed loose early on. That was the first time i've ran my XXX-S on a track, and i only had 2 batt packs through it before this. I also havent driven electric since my Pro2, which hasbeen sitting in my basement ever since i got my Racer2. I slowly got used to it. When i was in the main i feel i was driving better.

What tires was everyone running? (I should probably post this in the MARCCA forum, but I will here too)

I couldn't get ANY kind of grip out of my HPI Pro tires, so I was running my foams.

Has anyone had any luck with carpet (ozite) set-ups yet? Our indoor season is around the corner and a set up or suggestions would be helpful. Any word on the one-way yet?

how do you guys degrease your bearings? After you degrease the bearings do you soak the bearings in royal oil or just dip them in it.

Thanks

Mike,
I just used the applicator that comes with the oil and coat the bearing real good with it. I have thought of soaking them, but that is an expensive saok.

Default Where did you get your cars at?

Where are you getting your XXX-Ss from? They don't have them at Horizon Hobby. I did bid on a used XXX-S today on E-bay, where I bought my three Street Weapons.

Thanks,

Cmotif <><
