futureal- What didn't your friend like about the adapter? I have been running mine for a couple of weeks and have had no problems with it. There are only a few spur gears that will fit it but other than that I see no real problems with it. Email me at [email protected] I will let Matt F. know of any problems.

Taz- I'm done switching for a while and no matter what car I end up with..........it's always dialed.....he he he he.

semusOG- I would never run an enduro race. Too much strain on my race equipment. $100 to rent a car tire's and batteries is a good deal but I could put that $100 towards something else. There may be other racers at the track that would like to join you in forming a team.

Yea I don't know where anyone got the idea I'd be into the Enduro race either ...I like R/C racing, but Enduro just doesn't sound like my "cup-o-tea"

You can keep checking the Tamiya site or as soon as I find out I will post it here.

This event is strictly that, an event. A oneoff. Its fun to do something extreme with this once in awhile.

i am the one who does not like the gear....it is not round....i have to have my belt quite tight in stock, so the belt does not skip.....also, the spur gear deal....the thing is made wrong....it is advertised as run any spur gear...bullshit.....i had to sand a star-force down to get it to fit.....for 40 bucks the thing should give head also......

I have seen and heard that most of the Francis Parts really are not needed and are overpriced. If you like eye-candy then you should buy his stuff. The only thing that people like are the Pivot Blocks and Pivot Holders but I think that Speedmerchant makes them also and I think they are cheaper. I was going to get the gear adapter until I heard the price. I will be able to buy all the Losi 64 pitch SPur Gears and some pinions for the price of the adapter. Then You will not be stuck having to buy the trinity gears. I think Trinity had that idea from the start by making it so that you have to use their gears.

Mr Losi- I haven't had the "not round" problem but I will bring it to matt's attention. About the Trinity only gears....if you really look at the space between the spur gear and the belt tensioner pulley you will see that there isn't very much room for thicker spur grears which happen to be Robinson and Kimbrough. I can't do anything about the price of the adapter but I will try to get an answer for you.

Dragon Slayer- My signature was only directed at one driver that races out this way. His name is Jeff Blackburn. He thinks that he is "MR KYOSHO" He and had one too many tangles on the track and his last actions at a Castle race made me post that. It is by no means directed towards team Kyosho. I may be changing the signature if that's how it's being taken. If you know Mr. Ito let him know that it isn't directed towards him.

Each car has its own options and merits... you just can't piece out two different cars from two different manufacturers and compare them dollarwise. It's apples and oranges.
WOW! I guess I got a great deal then. I paid $199.99 for my XXX-S kit. That is my lhs standard price on the Losi XXX-S kit!

I sure hope this doesn't mean you're the one that reimburses the coupon that TSR6 was talking about :P

I am new to this forum, and also new to TC racing. I own the TripleXS. I am using a P2K Pro right now. I am running 59mm Treadz foams. Everything is stock. 88t spur. So, MDawson, u are recommending a 27 tooth pinion for a P2K Pro, on a tight technical track? That is what I have in it now. Thanks for any info... I am new, so I will probably have tons of questions that might be silly to some of you guys. Please bear with me...LOL

Oh yeah, I have started reading this thread from the first page... Phew, almost caught up...I am on page 22 now..LOL
