If you want a ceramic thrust use the 1.6mm ceramic balls (PO-CDB408BK) with the stock thrust washers.
Hi I did find a good solution with this...I did order two of these from rc mushroom for only 5 usd before reading this but found that I could use the ceramic race with the original pressure plates..making a really excellent thrust bearing without the inconvenience of loose balls

Default Photon

Looking for some help with my Photon's steering problem. With the outside right front camber link fully tightened my steering binds. If I keep it loose my steering is free. I changed the steering knuckle and it still binds. I then tried to take a little material from the Tie rod end with a body reamer and still binds? What else could it be? Thanks

Default Looking for new car

I have been looking for a new car. I owned 2 Type R's and sold them after 360 Speedway closed.

I'm moving to NC in 10 days and was planning to run only oval but there are a few TC tracking in the area.

Now my questions:

1. I will be running mostly on asphalt outdoors and some carpet in the winter, which car should I get rubber or foam?

2. How many changes would I have to make to convert one to the other?

Thanks,

I would get the rubber version...reason why ,you can set the car on rubber carpet racing ,without buying any more or need parts...

If you're looking for an older version, the rubber car will work very well on asphalt, but the foam version is much better for rubber tires on carpet. I ran the 2.5 lipo chassis on carpet last year with great success. The new kits come with the 2.25mm stiff lipo chassis and the 2.5mm 6 cell chassis. The rubber car had too much flex on carpet IMO.

Agree with you also. Just not sure if he's looking for an older version used car or looking at the new car. The new version does not come as a rubber or foam version. There is only one version. Agreed that the rubber version is better for asphalt though.

You mentioned a LiPo and 6 cell chassis separately... does that mean the LiPo chassis doesnt have the 6 cell cutouts?

Yes there are no cutouts in a lipo chassis, some have square for bumps, but not for cells.

This is why I'm asked:

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Car-Foam-Spec

And:

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ouring-Car-Kit
