one thing that concerns me ( mine should be in today ) is the way the slipper is adjusted. For those of you with experience with Xrays and the setscrew adjustment system... How easy is it to get that correct ? change ? adjust ? It seems that minor adjustments will be very difficult to get accurately. Perhaps one of the reasons contributing to the gear issue.

Since I can't afford 140 for the towers the guy on here made. I am making my own. I may make some extra for sale. Trying to get a feel on how many people would like some also. Don't have a price set yet. Have to see how much materials and how much time it will take me. I should have the first ones done in the next 2 weeks. Is 4mm a size everyone would like to see or thicker or maybe some aluminum. Pm me if u have any ideals. After I finish the towers the next project will be 12 hexes for those of u that want those. Will keep u posted on my progress. Just a racer trying to make parts at a affordable price. Thank u for your time and ideals
Considering the original Xray towers are $26 a piece without any hardware I think the TeamSR price is more then fair

It is a great deal. Plus they make great products. I run TeamSR towers on my 22 and haven't had any issues. I have only broken one in 8 months of running them. Although that was when a 1/8 E Buggy that shouldn't have been on the track anyways landed on me. They also come with hardware and pre-glued.

nice
Good to know thanks for the review. Will be ordering some ASAP even though I have not driven my car yet. May as well have peace of mind with the thicker towers.

One thing I forgot to mention after my day of testing was the slipper.
I noticed that the first two packs, it slipped really bad and couldn't get the power down at all. Third pack and after the car came alive, and motor temps came down to 140's after ~8min.
It's obvious that the pads need to be broken in, and afterwards seem to work pretty well. They don't seem to make a lot of slipping noise, but you can tell it's still working. I have my slipper set at 6mm gap. Pulled both diffs apart afterwards and everything looked good.

Also ordered at Stormer weeks ago when they first started taking pre-orders.
Getting a little anxious here. I want to build this thing over the new year holiday.

A few pics showing my setup, followed by my newbie esc settings. As you can see I've fitted a big Spektrum SR300 receiver
