That is the inner pin that would go in the spool, it won't be hard to file down the outdrives to fit it, I am just waiting to get a pair of them to find out if that's all that's needed. The car is great without them, I just want to see how it will feel with them as a tuning part.

For my cars I generally run about 80% (if 100% would mean the knuckle touching the c-hub at full lock) I do also dial more steering into the car when turning the dual rate down so that it can still get around the track quickly, just easier to drive.

Randy - Im pretty sure that the Cyclone ball is much larger than the Tamiya equivalent, as well as the pin is wider.
I would imagine that you could just get the HB POM spool outdrives to mate it up with the spool. Everything seems quite universal in the last few years, but if the outdrives dont fit, i would say oyu could use the entire HB Spool.

finding stiff springs that fit the spring retainer on this car?

i use HPI springs but they are a little too big for the lower spring retainer

The ball link on the drag bar of the steering in going to dictate how much total throw you can dial into the car, this may not necessarily mean that the steering hub will touch the c-hub at full lock as its just not physically possible.

I have my car set so when SR is 100% my servos has a l/r total throw of 132% left and 135% right. When I'm running I run the SR at 77% to as much as 83% nothing much over that. The expotential is what really helps to settle the car down, especially when running rubber tire on a tight track, in most cases I run anywhere from 10% to as much as 35%, all positive. Maybe you could explain the nervousness of the car more Redbones.

There are no shims for the 2pc blocks that I know of yet. I use a combonation of the original shims for the inner screw and the appropriate thickness washer for the outer screw.

I have run Xray springs, but I use their lower cups as well. Tamiya lists some very stiff springs under the 415 option parts, thing they are grey and purple in colour and work very well with foam.

I m using Kyosho and Mugen springs, the one meant for their nitro 1/10 tc, its a perfect fit.

Man that suck I just got my 416WE and now they are not running/making the 416 any more, even if they take 1year for another car what about parts support? any one know for sure if this is true?

It's probably true since the 416 has been on the market for almost 2 years. I wouldn't worry about parts support because there are many still running 415's without too many issues with parts.

I have, & I regularly use AE springs on mine(mainly when I need one that's different from the rates of the Tamiya springs). The fit seems absolutely the same to me....
