What batteries is everyone using to race with and where did you buy them? I am looking to run Lipo, and in the stock class. I will be using the silver can, and the Speed Controller that came with the kit. Help

Hey Faron LOL! It's Jay from RCRiot. Most people are using the Orion Rocket packs (Me), the Venom packs, or the DuraTrax packs in the Minis. You've really got to be careful because normal LIPOs wont fit, you need a pack with a standard "NiMh stick pack" size. Which has rounded sides(like an oval), take a look at your car and you'll see what I'm talking about. We run TCS rules at Riot so your not alowed to modify the chassis to accept different LIPO's. If you don't want the Venom pack at the track... I'll probably wind up buying it next race day.

I have one IP4200 lipo stick and a bunch of MPower 4000 stick packs.

Im not convinced the IP4200 is faster but i like to use it mainly because of the psychological edge!

I was thinking about buying a Rocket LiPo 4000 7.4V 25C: for Tamiya it is a oval shape so they will fit. I just wanted to make sure they will not be to little power.

4000Mah @ 25C = 100 Continuous amp output. From what I understand our little minis are pulling under 40 amps PEAK! That's why I don't have a problem buying the Venom pack at the track. 4000Mah @ 20C = 80amp cont.

Oh, is it the 1150 and 850?

I have a manual and saw those numbers but I know nothing about bearings and didn't realize that could be the sizes.. even though that shows the sizes of everything else there..

Just want to make sure.

I have tried the new Pit Shimizu,(PS-0456) 60D hard tyre with the PS -0458 hard foam insert on the front of my MO5M and found them to be very good. I ran a 55mm Cross rear tyre, so can not tell whether the soft 60D rear is any good.

I would not use TC insert inside, as I believe they would not last a meeting. I know another mini racer who said his lasted approximately one hour of running before wearing out on the inside. I am unsure which hole the inner upper a-arm screw is attached too.

Interesting... hard tires up front? I usually thought softer in the front

These cars are just to small to control the over steer you get with softer tires on the front. Under steer is easier to control. Its a case of just dialing in the right balance.

I use the same tires all round and adjust the under/over steer balance with suspension and geometry changes.

another question, seems like more people are using the Suzuki Swift body over the Fiat 500 body for the 'M' wheelbase, just wondering why is the case? The Swift body being better balance?
