thanks in advance.

Default Dogbone wear

Anyone ever experienced with the wear on the rear dogbone as shown in the attached picture?
Kit: T3 2012
Rear Gear Diff with stock Alu outdrive
Dogbone: 50mm
Rear Toe: Inboard 3 Degree Toe in

I never find this problem before on any other previous xray kit. It is obvious that the 'ball' of the dogbone rubs against the inner wall of the Alu outdrive. The option spring steel gear outdrive is slotted, can changing the spring steel one improve the problem?

Thanks very much!

Some debris caught in the out drive?

The viper does have a better BEC that is adjustable. The tekin BEC can brown out your rx when running high voltage servos. This usually happens with spektrum radios and tekin esc's along with the high voltage servos that are popular now.

Slightly larger track, but might be of use;

I think it is very unlikely.

I guess the dogbone is too angled.

I cant see any problem in the front, im using gear diff, Alu outdrive, 52mm bone, 1.5 degree Outboard Toe out.

Dont have my t3 2012 kit anymore so I could be wrong but isnt the rear meant to be the 52mm bone? Could it not be far enough in the outdrive and wearing due to slop?

ya the kit comes with 52mm Alu rear bone

i remember i saw some where else saying the bone would cause binding with the outdrive if the rear camber is above 1.5. I always run 1.5 or above camber so thats the reason i run 50mm bone

I always run 2 deg camber and dont remember having any problems. Try swapping back to the 52mm and just check for any binding. I dont know if this will fix your problem but that wear seems unusual.

Anyone know when RC America is supposed to get their next shipment of T3s?

Also why would RCA charge $19 shipping for 4 small parts to my LHS. It makes already expensive parts VERY expensive. Hopefully they don't charge shipping on each individual shipment since they didn't send everything together.

I believe they are getting a shipment in this week... next week at the latest.

Their shipping is very reasonable. Maybe the hobby shop had it upgraded to second day air or something?

Nope. FedEx ground. The LHS couldn't explain it.
