Look at the 3rd pic down, I made new spindles and the 1/4" wide spacer to get them to fit.

This Saturday practice and Sunday Racing at the Tamiya track Southern California... Ultimate F1 Series Day Race... Two classes... foam silver can Mabuchi 540 J motor ONLY, no RPM limit.... and rubber tire, 17.5 brushless ONLY...

Three Rounds of racing...

Each round will be a 2 min qualifying period, 5 cars max on the track, your looking for one fist lap to determine your grid order... 8 min race...

We will do this three times... points given to the top 8 finishers... the winner will be determined by points at the end of the day...

I'm in the process of building my f104, but have a question around the tires and wheels fitting.

I've noticed that on the front wheels when I position the foams on the wheels that I have about 2-3mm of the inside of the wheel showing...is this right. The rear's appear to be the same as well

I would assume that the tires and wheels line up, but before I go taping up etc I just want to make sure I'm not making a rookie mistake.

Mine were the same way -- leave the gap on the inside.

You should be able to stretch the rears all the way across, you just need to work them a little
The fronts will probably leave about 2-2.5 mm of rim showing

Yeah I just went and looked -- my rears cover the whole rim.
