Is any one using the Exotek Finned Motor Mount? and if yes, is it helping dissipate heat any better?

What Gears are you using on 8.5T? I have 28/78 and I think it might be too much, still have to try it out a little and check Temps, but would like to see what others are running?

I'm running 27/80 on a 9.5t with 35' of boost and all cool after 5 minutes.

Hi,

The extended length of the front shocks of my 210v1 is 80 mm and from the rear it is 100 mm.
Rear shock compressed is about 68 mm and the front is 60 mm.
The spring inner diameter is 15 mm.

I hope that helps.

I've used the Exotek motor mount on all my 210 cars. Originally it was to keep motor temps down when I was running 13.5. I think it helped a little bit, but not as much as I thought it would. Now I run it to keep slipper temps down more then anything. Running Mod beats the slipper up pretty good and it seems to have helped it from glazing over the pads as quickly.

Getting the first trouble.
I want to use the 14mm rims in front because I have a lot of wheel set´s with 14mm rims. If I put the 14mm hex on the axel and then the rim on it there is only 1-2 threads left for the wheel nut???

What am I donig wrong?

Regards Norbert
The front axle for the DEX210v3 is only designed for use with the thinner 12mm hexes provided in the kit. The 14mm hexes are wider and would be the cause of your issue.

Using a 8.5T I prefer to run a 23 or 24 with a 81T. On a small or mid sized track
But it depends on the size of your track. On a huge 8th scale track I would try up to at 25T.

I've heard that those and the McKune pads are awesome. I think I'm going to grab some for my 210F. But I was actually running the associated HD slipper pads for a while, and they worked well but since then I've switched to the Avid slipper setup. It was night and day on how the car came on and off power. It felt a lot smoother to me and the pads have lasted longer.

Associated pads are a decent upgrade and easy to do.
But the Avid is much better. Run all white pads on low grip, 1 red in the middle for med grip and 2 red for high grip.

Dino!!!
Good to see you back on here.
I haven't tried the triad on my cars yet but I can vouch for the McKune pads, they are fantastic. Fit better than the RC shox ones. Haven't had any issues.

What size shims/washer are used to shim the rear arms at the inner hinge pins to decrease the front to back motions?
Thanks all
