I preffer to use my lipo RX packs for the soul reason they give my servos more power and more speed.
I dont run a regulator because I have high voltage servos.
I will use the LIFE's in a pinch But...

A throttle return spring is much better in my opinion..

But only make one adjustment at a time so you can gauge how the changes effect the performance..

I keep my diffs stock works well for me.
