If there was no budget I would start with the 2WD, TLR 3.0 and TLR 3.0 Laydown, AE B6 and B6D.

Test and review them, pick the best two for the different tracks and then move on to the 4WD, 1/8,...

Never had an issue with a SS. I prefer the SS in ST, temps never over 150 even at 10 min mains. I've run the 17.5 & 13.5 with no issues.

Not sure why you would want the aluminum ones? The weight of the car is so low now the axles would put it under weight. With the weight of my car at 1501gms I would prefer a strong steel axle.
