I'm a fan of the new fantom fr-1 very fast motor. And top notch support.
Gonna get a million answers, but there are some good ideas from some recent posts in here.

Are you wanting a short stack? I would find something with a 12.5mm high torque rotor, I would try the reedy.

My buggy feels super fast with the Trinity D4 1S 17.5. That's just me.

Orca motors are good quality, I ran a 10.5 in a 6 hour endurance race and it came off at around 60 deg Celsius. Their 17.5 lacks power and top end speed compared to The current top motors though. I've been running fantom FR 1 motors this season and their definitely the best I've come across so far.

I called fantom and had them build me a 17.5 for short coarse. Wow! Was a bit pricy but it was worth it. That motor is amazing. I'm going to have them build me a 13.5 now.

I just got one as well, I thought their pricing was really good. I ordered the works edition, with the ultra select rotor. I skipped the aluminum tid bits and the final price was 130.00 plus they have a 10% discount for new customers. Not pricey at all IMO and yes this things seems like it will be a beast in my SCT.
