try getting the bigger bearings and doing away with the plastic carriers. if that doesnt work it might be your actual hub. it might be tweaked just a bit. is it just one side or both rear wheel hubs?

mke sure the motor is at BDC (piston at bottom dead center) and heat that thing up with a hair dryer or heat gun. those motors are very tight for break in

a .28 is gonna be a little faster but the engine really is garbage. the life span of that motor will be very short especially being your first nitro car. not to mention it is an absolute fuel hog....
