Just read CobraRacing's post... Wasn't aware of that feature (and, quite frankly, think the 5 second window should be extended a bit - maybe 10 seconds?) - now I'll know not to hold the brake......

I resolved my braking problem by putting a 13.0mm rotor in my D3.5 motor (I'm running a 10.5 in an open touring class). I guess braking strength is a function of both rotor strength and the air gap...

No one has any insight on this theory? Could this problem be related to the communication between the ESC and the sensor board? If someone could answer this question, I'd be most appreciative.

Ahhh, that makes sense... I won't be able to get the power leads that short because of the chassis layout. Maybe the manufacturer rep can chime in and provide insight as to how to go about resolving...

I tried reflashing the ESC with the 129_beta software, and I'll see how the brakes feel this weekend. If it made a significant difference, I'll repost after Saturday's race. Thanks for the help. :)

The brakes are weak, from start to finish. The ESC has never been over 140*F (60*C), and the motor doesn't get past 155*F.
