It really looks as if you where spraying the paint from too far away from the shell to produce a fine fade, but the same effect may be acheived with less pigment, less pressure, and the airbrush being closer to the surface of the canvas. Getting paint mixtures "right" is nearly all a matter of feel. At least for me it is... And just remember that viscosity, pressure distance of stroke, and paint flow on a canvas is all inversly proportional to each other
Thanks, that is very helpful information. I was nowhere near 50/50 mix for fine detail so your observations that I was using more flow and pressure + positioning too far away from the job was quite accurate. Might start from the beginning and practice on some P.E.T. bottles with the new information trying gradually thinner mix and pressure till I get a better feel for it.

Default some news and new pics

The parma Exciter body fits the Losi 2.0 t.Another option for your Losi racecar. They fit the majority of cars no problem and as soon as the mbx6t comes out I will be fitting it to that too. On the Losi it covers the cooling head but does not sacrifice cooling due to the channel molded in the rear of the body. It also protects the shock tower and that is a plus too. here are the pics of it and a coupel of fresh paint jobs the l;osi 2.0 is for sale on a popular auction site and the rest are customer cars. Thanks for the support

Mark Collins mbx5t in New Zealand Thanks mate,

Your saying that going from a roof that is completely sloped toward the middle of the cooling head to covering the top of it doesn't effect cooling?..

No I never said that I said that the head is covered and with the channel that is molded in it it helps cooling the Losi is designed the way it is and it does improve cooling for sure. Of course an exposed head is going to cool better.I ran this body saturday night and my engines ran as cool as I tuned them to run.Mike I love your work BTW when I started I seen your work and said dam that dude is good. Some of the sickkest paint I have ever seen.I will correct my wording. Stay fly. Darrin

Default John Edmond Onroad

Here's an onroad body I did for my buddy John Edmond. It's the same scheme and colors he uses on his offroad cars.
