Just got done with this, did it in an hour.
My dad and I painted it, it came out pretty well for our first time.

Yep been there. Did a lot of work on this paintjob and realised I should have done those pinstripes I was too tired to cut-in. I would have gone pink between blue and yellow then chrome around the black & black CF effect. Oh well, there's always another body to paint but it did look hot when the white decals and white wheels went on so my mate was very happy.

hi guys,
This thread has inspired me to start airbrushing my bodies.
I have a couple of questions I hope you guys could help me with.

1.is a paasche h set suitable for basic work?

2.h set comes with three different size tips what is best?

3.what is the best way to thin faskolor? (if at all)

4.what type of psi do I spray at?

I am just going to spray some flat pieces to try to get the hang of some basic tips before I tackle a body.
any info would be much appreciated
thanks

My first body painted with Faskolor. I've used Pactra lacquer since '92.

The drop shadow was done with Fastint. Then I highlighted the entire edge in Fasflourescent Red. The main color is Fasflourescent Flaming Orange.

I haven't been doing much painting since baby McGoo came around, but I get time every now and then. These are for NBA defensive player of the year Dwight Howard and teammate Michael Pietrus. These will be driven on the court in game 5 of the playoffs!!! ALL handcut....

It looks like you had no problem switching from lacquer to water base, but if you like the way lacquer sprays try Auto-Air's new Water-Borne paint, it sprays just like Lacquer and dry's very fast.

I tried the metal tear look for the first time on our school project's body, itīs polycarbonate so it was quite familiar to paint from the inside.

Default Let me know what you think...

This is like my 6th time paint job, but I just can not get the colors the way I like them. Let me know what I can do next time to make it better.
