Yes, have all that was listed plus more that I found will cleaning out the RC closet. I was going to re-list, but just had not gotten to it.

PM me.

Thanks

Default MTX-3 Roller

If anyone is interested I have a roller with some parts. I know this car is old but never the less it's still one bad little car.

Just look in the For Sale thread under Mugen MTX-3

those gears are way too short for the final ratio, way high acceleration and no final speed!
mesh should be tight just with the 2nd speed spur on and almost no space between the two speed shoe and the housing,
good luck

Hello fellas,

I have an old MTX-3 I bought all the way in late 2003. I haven't raced the car vigorously since, but when I run it, I notice that when the brakes are applied, it is strong and you have no control. I even read an old article stating that the brakes are strong and there is a large lack of control or smoothness. I want to know if anyone else has had these problems and if this problem can be fixed, as I might be bringing it back out from a 2-year break in about 2 or 3 weeks. Thanks in advance.

use 21 27, these are only aluminum but will last some time, if your track is small you can also try 16 21 47 42, these pinions will last longer but will provide less acceleration and top speed
there are lots of parts for x3 on ebay
good luck

If your running a one way in front, your car will not stop straight no mater what you do. If you change to a spool or gear diff, brakes are great. I've gone to 100,000 lube in the front diff which helps forward traction, just have the car pointed in the right direction when you give it power.

The original MTX3 used 1.0 module gears the Mtx3 "pro-spec" used .8 module gears which do you have?

I agree the MTX3 can not used the Mtx4 gears they are way too short

yes i have the 0.8 modules gears so if i use the 21 27 gears what spur gears should i run it is a large track with lots of speed and grip also i was wondering how do it get the car to be really fast like snappy

Default MTX-3 parts blowout!

Was at SpeedtechRC yesterday. They found a box of old nitro parts that had been stored away. Among them were a bunch of parts for the MTX-3. Mostly gears such as spurs and pinions and some Kawahara parts as well as some plastic parts like bulkheads and suspenstion arms.

They won't be listing them on the website so you'll have to call them to find out what they have or have what you are looking for.

Call them at: 626-237-0807

Default MTX3 Diff Part Numbers

Hi, I need to convert my MTX3 from a front one way to a gear diff, Can anyone help with part numbers as I've misslaid my manual.
Cheers Paul.
