wildbill, get over yourself, it it was a joke, please get a sense of humor.

Gus was whining about how there’s no rules for GT, when most of us putting on GT races here in America pretty much agree on most of them.

Gus’ Utah rules are really close to what has been run at most tracks, with a few exceptions.

Being that our new Roar President just started this week and must have many other pressing things to attend to, we should be patient for our turn. Indoor racing is starting now.

I mean really, we’re in North America and winter is setting in. Soon outdoor tracks will be covered in snow and the season is like about over now.

How many of us running GT will be racing on tracks this winter here? lol

Racing outside will be restricted to sunny and warm area's that get to hot to run in the summer, BUT ......... we should hope to have new rules ready for next season, so that we all know how and what to purchase for the car in the off season. Also, the rule book is set up to be ready at the first of the year. Nice to get it into print before it is issued.

I agree 100%, but whining about it & busting his chops the day after coming into office?

Instead of this petty stuff, let’s look forward to the future with positive thoughts.

Here’s a video tour of Club Kyosho Ajusco, the world class facility that we can enjoy this March for our GT World Championships.

You don't race, get the heck ought a here. The only racing you do is from your couch.

Default New DM-1

Well I got my DM-1 S in finally (man I love the smell of new RC) I am getting the Tekno conversion for it and have a couple of questions if you guys don't mind.

1 - I thought I read where the Tekno conversion chassis is shorter than the stock one. Is this true? And if so will the lid that came with it fit, or will I need to get another one?

2 - Do you guys keep the 2 speed or ditch it for a 1 speed. Can you lock it so reverse is possible?

3 - I would be interested in the speed and torque you guys are using for servos.

4 - And are the mechanical brakes preferred on these?

I appreciate any help you guys might have as I am new to the pavement.

Thanks in advance

Ok now that baby in the picture sure looks like my son. Since winter will be coming here very soon to Indianapolis, I headed over to the indoor carpet track today and test drove a 1/12 scale pan car..........Man I think Spooky you are 100% right, this class will definitely keep my fingers in shape during this winter. I think I'll be ready for GT when the season starts back up next year.

Try the Electric GT thread, they may be able to help you get it running strong since we're a little more into the nitro end of track racing on this thread. Good luck!

No need to apologize. Between the electric GT thread in the electric onroad section, this thread, and the DM-1 thread in the nitro section, you should be able to find all kinds of useful info as far as set-ups, issues, aftermarket parts ideas, etc.

No problem. How many guys are running the GT car again down your way? There use to be at least a half dozen or so about a year and some change ago. If the guys from Austin would travel a little (every once in a while), that are enough GT racers to get something going hear in Texas. Mine are always ready to rock.

I spoke with Gulf Coast Raceway here and they said not many GT drivers, but they would help if I wanted to start a class. They have a world class track there (they hold world (IFMAR) finals and championships there) so I really want to take advantage of that.

Maybe it's the off-road in me, but the GT class of cars are so much more exciting.

And if we can't get it going in Houston, I'd be willing to drive to Dallas or Austin.
