hey guys i currently have a rrr with rrr evo shocks..

would it be worth upgrading to the rrr evo as a second car?
i mainly race on high grip tracks and the current rrr is working real good
it is about a year old but i regularly replace parts.

There is 2 versions one is with the pins & the other is a solid spool lightweight that is exactly like the Km the only thing it uses a grub screw instead of pins

No wonder I couldn't find it - it's a G4 part.

what makes the new shocks better than the old one's? also what shock end are you using, short, medium, or long?

If i am correct the Evo WC has Evolva's front shocks

One thing that no one has mentioned is that the shock pistons are quite different from the RRR WCE and the RRR EVO. The front pistons in the WCE shocks are have one 1.3mm hole and and the rears have two 1.0mm holes. On the EVO both the front and rear pistons have two 1.1mm holes. Fortunately the inside diameter of both shocks is the same so you can put the EVO pistons (p/n FM530-3) in the WCE shocks without any problems. One other difference to mention is that the new shock bodies are about 2mm longer than the WCE bodies. How much this affects performance I don't know but it is a difference that should be noted.

If you are thinking about upgrading the shock here are the parts that you will need:

Shock Body p/n FM529-1
Shock Collar p/n VZ109 (this is the servo saver collar)
Piston p/n FM530-3
Front Spring p/n VZ242-4517
Rear Spring p/n VZ243-5017
Shock Ends p/n FM509B (this parts tree has the shock end on it)
Mugen shock ends will also work.

It will be easuer to buy the whole shock kit since you forgot to mention the shock shaft is titanium. As for the new shocks one major difference is that the old shock s when tighting the cap most of the time if you went to hard it would pinch the bladder & you would have to redo them again the new shocks are more consistent on rebuilding them

they actually have one that states on the package g4 /V1RRR it works for both the difference is that were the bearrings sit it is milled out more than the one that is pictured & they are hard to come by I am in search of one I have the same one & im trying to locate a machine shop that can mill it for me since the sent me the wrong one it is shy by .25mm on both ends 7 I forgot to mention it is titanium i will try to post a pic if I can get the diggy to work

i ran the blue k-factory one in my G4S it was fantastic had no wear in the cups after 9 months of racing i still have it i wasnt sure if it fit in the RRR or not. The spool that Tosolini and Shimo were running at the worlds were out of the V1S-III the plastic one
