Ran mine today, ran well handled sweet but after about 6 tanks of running the steering servo stripped. That was on smooth short grass with no crashes, I new that it wouldnt last long but thats not good. Like the single speed tranny just 1 less thing to faff around with.

Any news on option parts,

Picked one up Friday,

Ran one tank for break in and went to bed. Took off saturday to the new indoor nitro track about 2 and half hours away.

ran two more tanks though and opened her up.

This thing flat out gets with it folks!! It's extremely stable, and it was flying triples like nothing else out there, with no in air brake or throttle adjustment needed.

I ran it Very HARD!! And it took all I gave it. Any truck that came in contact with it on the track lost as they would bounce off it or flip over. This truck is planted to the ground.

We made no modificactions to it. ran th stock tires and they even seemed to grab pretty good. This is a very fine piece of machinery and almost everything on it is adjustable. When you start reading the instruction manual it gets really cool with all the innovative options it has.

What are my gripes??

Turning..To the guys that burnt their Servo's?? Be glad you know you were gonna replace it anyway.
It needs alot more torquey servo. This change alone should make this thing turn.

My buddy and I are moving things around on the steering linkage and toe'n the front end out, replacing the steering servo, and gonna dremmell off some plastic off the linkage in the front to allow it more turning radius.

This truck is for real, and once the servo and turning issue's are fixed. It won't need anymore motor..

Going back to the track in two weeks with the new mods..Will let you know how we fare!

Yes we both bought one..LOL

Default HellFire Servo

yup HPI needs to look into this....Can't even get 5 tanks of gas without the servo going out....Also pull all the screws and lock tight ...They back out fast

There is no need to look into the servo stripping. It is obvious. It is a piece of crap $12 plastic geared servo. Very easy to see why this would strip trying to turn a truck like the HellFire. The problem is they didn't put a half way decent servo in to begin with.

one of the members at our track got his up and running he switched to a set of nubs and it was much better.

he did however make the mistake of handing the controller to another member out there who proceeded to wrap it around a pole

the damage? a bent hingepin holder and nothing else,he fixed it and had it running the rest of the day with no other problems.

we will have video shortly and will post the link as soon as we do.
