VBC Lightning FX

I took the VBC FXM out for it's first run on rubber tires using a 21.5 motor (never raced rubber F1). The car worked well for it's first outing and it was quite durable too. I had a few solid board taps and rollovers and the car came up unscathed.
I'll do a video to describe on the setup I used and overall thoughts about it's handling.

Throw the axon spur out its too thin and put a xenon in. Much better spur.
The upper camber links changed and there is less slop on the king pin ball. How ever they king pin. Ball cups are shorter and the turnbuckle is the same length. 26x4mm turnbuckles should solve that issue.
Other than that the car is durable and fast.

Yes, the Axon spur gear is delicate to say the least. Definitely worth putting in a different brand of spur gear for durability sake. The ''updated'' upper camber link ball and ball cup are no good, I reverted back to the Yokomo setup.
Check out my video on YouTube about other thoughts and opinions on the FXM!

There was no slop in the upper ball and cup. The ball cup is just too short. Therefore there wasn't enough thread I
Engagement. In the mean time I reverted back to the fx ball cups and king pins and have no issues with the slop. Car still works great.

Has anyone experienced the diff ball bearings seizing up on the shaft? Both my 3/8x1/4 flanged and 3/8x1/4 (enter bearing/closest to spur) bearings completely seized on the shaft. I had to forcibly remove(destroy) them. I discovered the problem after I noticed the shaft didn't spin/rotate as freely as it should. But, I did notice the FIT was extremely tight during the initial build!

Hopefully you might just have some bad bearings.
I replaced the original steel rear axle with the carbon rear axle. This is a great improvement over the steel design.
With the steel axle, as you tighten the left wheel nut, it can put pressure on the left bearing as it pulls the hub against the bearing.

Can anyone please confirm if the Tamiya Thrust bearing will work with the FXM?

So

Use 3 spring washers for extra tension. It will stop the car from diffing out
